Jared Polis, Governor of Colorado, has accomplished many of his stated campaign goals in less than one year in office! The Red Flag Law that was passed by the legislature early 2019 will help prevent individuals who aren’t mentally capable from having posession of firearms. Also, for the first time in Colorado history, families will be able to send their children to full day Kindergarten without additional expense, creating a more equitable starting line for Colorado youth.

Journey from Businessman to U.S. Congressman to the Governor
In Part One of this two-part live taping, Congressman Jared Polis, Democratic nominee for the Colorado Governor’s Race in 2018, outlines his plans to scale local models for early childhood education for the entire state. Trade-education and other non-college options for older students, leaving high school and not looking to go to a university, need to be developed. Healthcare and the high cost of American drugs, which is 5 to 7 times higher than in other parts of the developed world, is a big problem that he will seek to take on if elected.
In Part Two of this two-part live taping, Congressman Jared Polis, Democratic nominee for the Colorado Governor’s Race in 2018, addresses state budget issues that Tabor and Gallagher have caused and a desire to work with Republicans to remedy the severe effects on the state’s budget. The high cost of housing in the Denver area is an economic burden for many Coloradans that is affecting the proliferation of homelessness in the city.
