In part 2 of this special two-part series, Colorado Republican Party Steve House and Colorado Democratic Party Chairman Rick Palacio discuss proposed Amendment 107 to create a Presidential Primary in Colorado which also would be open to unaffiliated voters. They then discuss Amendment 108, which would create “Open Primaries” in Colorado — allowing unaffiliated voters to cast a ballot in either the Democratic or Republican Primary Elections. House and Palacio explain their opposition to the measure and reveal the compromise they proposed which they claim was rejected by the authors of 107 and 108. The two Party Chairman also discuss the Redistricting and Reapportionment processes in Colorado and disclose their support for more competitive political districts.
